Why Jelly Llama ? What In A Name !

When I thought about beginning this adventure in blogging and crafting for my own Etsy shop the first thing that came to mind was but

WHAT SHALL I BE CALLED ?

A NAME !!

It takes a long time and there are a lot of obstacles on the way in choosing your blog and brand.

I had a big group of friends and family thinking for days and hit some dead ends along the way. Read on this might help you if you thinking big starting up yourself.

The name is a big thing.

It's the first thing people see and it helps to attract them to read on. It's has to feel right to you too.

It can't just be a way to get people attention in your blog, website or shop.

You need to feel it says something about you and inspires you to keep going. It also has to say something about the thing you are writing about and selling too.

Needs to be catchy enough as well as an easy name to create a simple logo from .

Me, my friends and family , all came up with a random list of things that reminds us of me. I soon discovered that some of my first name creations may work for me but we're already taken.

I realised I needed to be prepared to sacrifice the "perfect" name for a "practically perfect" one as someone else on the internet may already have the name I had chosen.

So I went through a big list of twenty or thirty different "practically perfect " names to find the right one. You need to check the net, look at other websites and see if your name is available to use for you domain website and shop.

Checking out Facebook , Instagram , Twitter and Etsy helps too.

After a number or hours and some disappointments scanning the internet you find the one that isn't taken it's time to

GRAB IT !!! JELLY LLAMA !!!

Many different websites have good prices for domains or business names and you need to choose the one that suits the level of business or social traffic you want. When you have brought your domain, that name is yours!

Of course, now more people will get to know me by my website name that my real one and think I am a crochet llama instead of a human being.

Now the next big steps came to create a logo , website , blog and whole beautiful brand of Jelly Llama products to fit in my Etsy shop , it takes time but it's growing .
